Kimono Magazine – Scans

Standard

I have a collection of various magazines that highlight and show off the recent collection of kimono. I have never seen these images posted online, and feel its a real shame to see something so beautiful go unseen. Here are a few scans, as well as a mini guide from a magazine. In particular, this magazine features furisode, and is intended for younger women.

Furisode

Cheers 🙂

  1. Hi ^^

Please, can you tell me where do you buy this magazines? In a shop? By mail?

I don’t know how to search them because I still don’t know japanese, but they have quite some photos.

    Thanks a lot ^^

    • Ebay, yahoo japan, various cultural stores in your area….

You need not speak a word of Japanese to find these publications. However, expect to pay $20+ for a single magazine.

  2. I had the same question. I had to be careful not to get any drool while paging through that fabulous magazine. Thanks for the scans!

    • I am hoping the Japanese bookstore in Chicago has a few more of these magazines. Id love to buy them without having to pay upwards of $10 shipping on a magazine >.<

    • I’m sorry, but I can’t find an english name on this magazine. I would love to share this publication if I could, but I can’t 😦

      • 🙂 That’s OK. Is one of these scans the cover (I didn’t think the one with the lace gloves is, but…), or is it possible for you to scan the cover so I could look for it at my local Kinokuniya? I can read a little Japanese, so I might be able to figure it out. Sorry to bother you…No worries if you don’t have the cover or don’t have time to scan it!

      • Give me just a moment and I will scan the cover. The magazine is a touch too large for my scanner, so it won’t scan everything.
